ABOUT DMU
Founded in 1870, De Montfort University (DMU) Leicester has grown into a global institution. We have an ambitious Research Strategy that feeds into students’ learning, and our courses embed employability in their curriculum. As the United Nations’ (UN) designated Global Hub for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 – the only UK university to be designated as such – we have a commitment to address the UN SDGs in our research, teaching and enterprise activity.

DMU Dubai Provost (Interim)
Dr Ridon has more than 15 years’ experience of working in international higher education and is a specialist in Transnational Education (TNE), having worked at several universities in the UK and in positions based overseas, such as India and Uzbekistan
Dr Washad Emambocus
Subject head for the Business & Law (BAL) portfolio
Dr Washad Emambocus is the DMU Dubai Subject Head for Business and Law and an Associate Professor of Enterprise. He joined De Montfort University in 2018 as the coordinator of Departmental Resourcing for Management and Entrepreneurship.
Stuart Lawson
Subject head for the Art, Design and Humanities (ADH) portfolio
Stuart Lawson has more than 15 years’ experience in design education and is currently Associate Professor, Design Products. He is programme leader for MA Product Design and BA Product & Furniture Design, and is also the Associate Head and Associate Professor International of the School of Art, Design & Architecture.
Dr Fuad Mohamed Khoshnaw
Subject head for the Science, Engineering and Computing (SEC) portfolio
At DMU he is the subject head of the programmes Intelligent Systems and Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Sustainable Development, Cyber Security, Data Analytics and Psychology.
